MDP DAM

Defence Acquisition Management (DAM)

The Management Development Program for Defence Acquisition Management (DAM) is a two weeks duration course conducted every year. This course is designed to equip defence personnel with the necessary skills and knowledge required to effectively manage complex defence acquisition projects. This program is meticulously tailored to address the intricacies of defence procurement, project management, and strategic decision-making within the defence sector.

Aim

To develop qualified ‘Acquisition Professionals’ who can deliver and sustain efficientand responsive value chains towards planned defence capability build up.

Timing

The duration of the MDP-DAM (2025-26) is Two weeks. The course is scheduled from 22 Sep 25 to 04 Oct 25.

The QR for the course is officers of the rank of Col/ Brig and equivalent from other services. Officers who have attended HDMC 2 earlier are not eligible to undergo this course and hence should not be detailed on the course. Further, to meet course objectives, it is desirable that the nominating authorities of three services should make an endeavour to nominate officers who are either employed on procurement related appointments or are likely to tenate such appointments in near future.

The course is designed for 35 participants, wherein offrs from Army, Navy, Air Force and IHQ shall be attending the same.

The duration of the MDP DAM is two weeks.
