Maj Gen G Srinivas, Commandant

Major General G Srinivas an alumnus of National Defence Academy and Indian Military Academy, did his early education from Sainik School, Korukonda. The officer has held various important staff, command and instructional assignments. The staff exposure includes Additional Military Secretary in Military Secretary’s Branch and Brigadier Quartermaster in HQ 9 Corps. The instructional assignments include three tenures in Artillery School, Devlali and one in College of Defence Management, Secunderabad.

Major General G Srinivas has attended various prestigious courses of the Indian Army. He is qualified on long Gunnery Staff Course, Technical Staff Officers Course, Higher Defence Management Course and National Defence College Course. His educational qualifications include Master of Science & Technology in Weapon Systems, Master of Management Studies, M Phil (Management) & M Phil (Strategic Studies). The officer is a recipient of the Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card. Apart from an extended military experience, the General Officer is an avid reader and a keen golfer.  The General Officer played a pivotal and proactive role during OP SINDOOR, significantly enhancing operational readiness of the formations. After a successful and fruitful tenure as the Major General Operational Logistics, Headquarters Western Command, the General Officer took over as Commandant of the prestigious College of Defence Management (CDM) on 01 October 2025.

The General Officer is married to Mrs Vaishno Devi, a distinguished educationist with a deep sense of commitment to the field of learning and development. The couple is blessed with two daughters, Miss Shreya and Miss Sneha, and both are currently pursuing their doctorate studies at prestigious universities in the United States.
